Before buying Fluenz, make sure your computer has the following:

    * DVD-ROM drive
    * G4 / Intel Macs with OS X 10.3 or above, including Leopard (Mac).
    * Pentium 4 or higher with Windows 2000 / XP / Vista (Windows)
    * 512 MB of RAM (1 GB recommended)
    * Resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher
    * Video card
    * 16 bit sound card

If you want to take full advantage of Fluenz's recording engine you should have a headset microphone. Please note that Fluenz Mandarin 1+2 does not currently support USB microphones, but that Fluenz Spanish 1+2 as well as Fluenz French 1 do. Neither application supports the iSight microphone for Mac.

Fluenz French 1 Windows and Fluenz French 1 Mac:

    * A DVD-ROM with the Fluenz French 1 software. This DVD-ROM will run on either G4 / Intel Macs or Windows 2000 / XP / Vista depending on the version that you purchase.
    * A CD-ROM with audio exercises that can be played on a stereo, in your car, or copied to an iPod or other MP3 player.
    * A Fluenz Navigator booklet that contains key survival words and phrases from Fluenz Spanish 1.
    * An instruction and trouble-shooting User's Guide for the Fluenz French 1 application
